The link you gave only works for you. Information about switching PHP versions can be found here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/smallbusiness/webhosting/php/php-38.html , or by searching our help page for the term "PHP".

This option to toggle versions is a recent addition, that we added because we were asked for it by many users! Glad you found it, and are using it. To contact us if you get stuck at anytime in the future, simply visit http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/contactus

Your article inspired me to give my DSM-520 another shot. Ive tried to copy my DVDs to a file server and them play them several times, but without much success. In the past Ive always had audio/video sync issues or no audio at all.

After setting up Mediatomb and downloading a trial copy of CloneDVDMobile I was able to successfully rip/encode a DVD watch on the DSM-520. YEAH!

Because I only use Linux OS programs I needed to figure why CloneDVDMobile worked and why DVDrip did not.

After several hours of analyzing the output of the avi files created by CloneDVDMobile I have found the magic option combination to rip/encode DVDs so they will play on the DSM-520 with AC3 audio.

Below are my DVDrip tips assuming you have a fully operation copy of Linux.

1) Make sure the DVD rip correctly without errors. This can be done by watching the status bar at the bottom and clicking the progress detail button. If any error are encountered, try cleaning the DVD.

2) After ripping, choose the transcode tab and select these options:

contatiner = avi
Video codec = ffmpeg
2-pass encocde= no IMPORTANT!!
BPP value=.45 (under Video bitreate calculation, By quality)

Everything else is defaulted.

By using the method above, Ive rip/encoded 15-20 DVD with no issues.

Also as a added bonus, DVDrip has a cluster mode. This means I can rip several DVDs, place them in a queue and then have several PCs, working together, encode them all at one time. :) VERY COOL.

checkout http://www2.exit1.org/dvdrip/ for more info on DVDrip.

Thanks for your article.

Just to play in the WSOP tournament must be really exciting. Poker certainly is a series of lessons and we all seem to learn some new ones everytime we play

Dougie My Boy--
This has been an incredible blow-by-blow description of an epic event! Though it is only marks the beginning (AND end) of its' North American jaunt, the San Francisco Police and perhaps the US Airforce are making PLENTY SURE that the torch leaves a- burnin'! How LUCKY we are to have OUR MAN AT THE SCENE!!!!!

Right then. If there is ever a "Spinal Tap 2", this has to be in it. I do agree though, it is about time that Shiny "man the f' up and stop being a c' "! That was clear.
